A Message from the Director

Edward W. Younger III, M.D. is Medical Director of MRK Medical Consultants. An experienced orthopedic surgeon, he has been performing medical evaluations since 2000.

       Thank you for considering MRK Medical Consultants as we celebrate our 50^th year in business. We are proud to continue offering high quality comprehensive analysis of personal injury and medical malpractice cases for legal and insurance professionals throughout the United States.

       Injury analysis is one of the most critical components in establishing the tone and direction of a personal injury case and quite often affects the case outcome. MRK consultant experts provide opinions regarding the relationship between symptoms, findings, and causation. Upon request, they can also provide opinions regarding patient prognosis, need for proposed surgical procedures, and future medical care. As medical director, I’m happy to provide telephone review of the merits of a case to assist you in deciding whether to proceed and determining which consultant is right for your case.

Unlike many other firms, we’re pleased to tell you upfront who these specialists are, so that you have all the information you need immediately.         We work very hard to recruit consultants who are accomplished in their clinical practices as well as skilled at developing medical-legal reports and testimony. They are board certified in their respective fields, and many also keep hospital privileges and contacts. All of our consultants maintain the highest standards of medical practice and knowledge. Most have multiple affiliations with prominent organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplant, and the Neurocritical Care Society. They are also scholars and researchers who publish papers and speak both nationally and internationally.

         We’ve been in business since 1975, and we continue to grow in areas of specialty and in geographic coverage while maintaining our reputation for high quality service. We have eighteen satellite offices throughout California, as well as locations in Reno and Las Vegas, and Tucson, Phoenix and Prescott, Arizona.
